The 2022 Gamay Noir from Vasanti Estate Winery is the kind of wine that doesn’t try to be complicated—and that’s exactly why it works.

First impression: fresh red fruit. Think cherry and raspberry.

It’s light to medium in body, smooth on the palate, and easy to drink without feeling boring.

There’s a little hint of spice and something slightly earthy in the background, which keeps it interesting.

This isn’t trying to copy Beaujolais. It feels more like a clean, modern take on Gamay grown in the Okanagan Valley.

Bright, focused, and just structured enough to handle food.

The 2022 vintage gives it a bit more backbone than you might expect.

Still very drinkable, but not just a “chill and forget” kind of wine. It has a bit of grip, a bit of tension.

Food-wise, keep it simple. Roast chicken, grilled pork, pasta—nothing too heavy. It’s a wine that works best when you don’t overthink it.

Overall, this is Gamay done right: fresh, balanced, and honest. Easy to like, but not forgettable.
