See Ya Later Ranch Rover 2022

The See Ya Later Ranch Rover 2022 is a powerful Syrah with a lot going on from the start.

The nose shows spices, black pepper, vanilla, dark chocolate, a little raw meat and smoke.

It immediately reminded me of a Cornas-style Syrah, but with a more Australian feel to it.

On the palate, there is plenty of dark cherry, overripe raspberry and spice, with a noticeable sweetness to the fruit.

The wine has good balance, with acidity and tannins working well together.

The tannins are quite round and smooth, which makes the wine feel full and generous rather than harsh.

The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate and sweet cherry coming through.

There is quite a bit of complexity here, and I enjoyed the wine more as it opened up.

At the same time, the sweet character became a little overwhelming for me after drinking it for a while.

A powerful, spicy Syrah with black pepper, dark cherry, ripe raspberry, smoke and chocolate.

Rich and warming, with round tannins and a long finish, but a little too sweet for my taste.
