The Noble Ridge Winery welcomes visitors with its unmistakable charm and sweeping views over the Okanagan Valley.
The wines are elegant and expressive, but it’s the full experience — the atmosphere, the people, the quiet energy of the place — that makes a visit truly memorable.
The Noble Ridge Winery is owned by Jim D'Andrea and Leslie D'Andrea. In 2001, they bought a small piece of land where a few vines had already been planted back in 1986.
What followed was years of work, patience and belief — belief in the land, the climate and the possibility of building something meaningful from that small beginning.

The name reflects both the grapes and the landscape. Noble varieties are planted here — hence “Noble.”
And the vineyards themselves are divided by a natural ridge running through the property — hence “Ridge.”
The winery has become particularly known for its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and its sparkling wines made using the traditional Traditional Method, the same approach used in Champagne, where the second fermentation happens in the bottle followed by aging on the lees.
Winemaking and viticulture are led by Benoît Gauthier, who places strong emphasis on sustainability, fruit quality and the expression of terroir.
The vineyards are left to deal naturally with the surrounding grasses, forcing the vines to struggle a little and dig deep for what they need.
Their roots search for nutrients through a challenging mix of rock, sand and gravel — a process that ultimately gives more character to the fruit.

Everything is done on the property. The winery itself was designed across three levels so the winemaking process can be gravity-fed, allowing the grapes and wine to move naturally and gently through each stage while preserving their quality.
When I last visited in 2024, I had the chance to taste one of their newest projects — Touriga Nacional. It was a reminder that they never stop exploring. And honestly, this restless curiosity is exactly what I love about the Okanagan wine scene.
